I guess I'm settled enough to let you all in on what's been going on since
December.
First let me say how dismayed I was that I couldn't access the group for so
long.
I was so afraid I would never be able to read about my friends and their
hamsters.
Andrea and I had been living in a rather crime filled area of Houston for a
year and
we were safe enough for the most part. There were roaming security guards
and security gates
to limit the criminal's efforts to harm us. But eventually we became sick of
the prison that had become our apt.
At the same time my parents required some assistance our car started to grow
old and we decided it would be best
to move across town to live with them. Both to save some money and help my
folks with their expenses.
Moving all the animal cages was tough but thankfully it went well and no
critter was traumatized.
Even our southern flying squirrel adjusted well.
By the time we got the interweb installed here we seemed to have burned the
bridge with our ISP
And that was after we paid off our account. The cost of reconnecting to the
new area was out of the question.
At least now I can send and receive messages.
All the critters are doing well.
Sassy, our Syrian female. Gumdrop, our syrian male. DJ, our diminutive
dwarf. Feather, our southern flying squirrel.
Hermione, our ground squirrel. Tootsie my sweet little girl rat.
Early last year we suffered the loss of Cracker, our plump ground squirrel
and soon after his best friend
Baby, our beloved prairie dog. These deaths still are extremely hard to
overcome.
Snickers was my pet rat who's favorite place to sit was on my shoulder. When
he died it felt so strange not to have him there
that I had his image tattooed there. Sounds crazy, I know!
Well, here's hoping this year treats us better than the last!
Take care,
Sean

Glad to see you back around again!

Moving is hectic enough all by itself, nevermind when other things go wrong
at the same time.

Wishing you well in your new location!
